Alec's Birthday Party

While celebrating Alec's birthday party Julia went for a walk with her Daddy and her Mommy. Here she is racing through the displays, after she had already ate cake. With the cake she drank juice, which she doesn't usually get. I think this explained her surge of energy half way through the party. Mama and Daddy could barely keep up.

Mama and Julia are giving the weather forecast for the Houston area. "We predict plenty of sunshine, and high humidity" like that's a shocker!

HOORAY, a person volunteered to take our picture of the whole family. We didn't even have to ask.

Mmmmmmmm! Cake!

Day at the Museum

No, this is not the sequel to Ben Stiller's awesome movie, Night at the Museum. But it is where Julia's friend, Alec, celebrated is fourth birthday party. The party was at the Museum of Natural Science.

At the museum, Julia saw lots of cool things. For instance, here she is petting her new friend, Spike. Although Spike is a bearded dragon, he a Julia seemed to hit it off pretty well, especially when she scratched those hard to reach places, like his tale.

The other reptile that was brought out for the kids to touch was a cornsnake named Slither.
I wish we had a picture to share, but Slither was very energetic and felt like crawling around on the table with us. This REALLY, made Daddy a tad bit nervous and forgot to take the picture :)

Here is Daddy after Slither went back to his cage.

The party was so much fun and Julia loved running around through the museum. She looked at the dinasours and the stuffed animals that were on display. One thing that she really liked was the brown bear that was there. I think it reminded her of "Brown Bear, Brown Bear."

"I Don't Need No Rocking Chair" (Singing Voice)

Or, maybe I do. Our outdoor baby seems to have finally discovered that those big green things, known to us adults as rocking chairs, can actually do something. We climb on them, rock them, push them, try to stand in them (but Mom is a party pooper and will not let me) and sit on them. They are too much fun.

However, the down side to this is that Julia's teacher at daycare wanted to know if she had been climbing in chairs at home, because she had been trying to climb in the daycare rocking chair. Ooops! Bad Mommy! I guess I need to plan ahead a little better.
What do you think about the pig tails today? Pretty cute huh? She is of course too preoccupied with watching the puppies play chase. Go Howdy! Go Dolly!

What is Yellow and Has Eight Legs?

If you answered Julia, then you would be suprisingly correct. Have you ever seen such a happy octopus? Well, now you have. Julia has been extra silly these past few days and has felt like playing with the face book that Cooper bought her. Which reminds me, Julia wanted to send a shout out to Cooper,"Thanks Coop!"

Lately, one her new favorite things to do around the house is play on the couch! Back and forth, back and forth. . . But the one thing that makes playing on the couch even more fun is playing on the couch with Dolly. "DOLLY!"

"Julia, you are not being a very good pillow." Julia really loves Dolly and is always wasting her precious kisses on Dolly. Mom and Dad are sooooo jealous. :(

Mama, did you say "CHEESE?"

Birthday Bash!

Posted by Picasa
This was a fast and crazy weekend. Saturday after Julia's gymnastics, we went for a quick trip to San Antonio for a suprise birthday for Lawson's Uncle Brett. We have all been sick this past week, so when we got in Sunday, pretty late, we went to bed as fast as we could. Julia had fun at the party and played in a sand box for the first time. But her favorite so far is still the slide.
When we first got to Great Grandma Nelly's house, I took Julia over to the trampoline and we bounced and bounced. She giggled and thought that it was pretty neat. So neat that she had to yell for her "Da-Da" to come and watch her. Then she wanted to jump with Daddy too.
That evening we went to the suprise party, where Julia not only played in the sandbox and slide, but she also played fetch with a puppy, who she named "Dau-y." In fact, she named all the dogs at the party "Dau-y." She was a cutie and acted like a little angel the whole trip, even during the 12 hours (total) spent in her carseat. Who could ask for more?

All Done!

Hey, look at me, I am all done. No, I am not asking Mom, "What in the world are you doing?" I am finished with my ravioli and I am ready to let Dolly clean me up. This is Dolly's favorite time of the day.

Who would wouldn't "Be Mine" with a face like this? Amazingly, I didn't seem to get my bib very dirty. This took a great deal of effort.

My New Chairs, Plop!

Yesterday Julia got her new chairs. At first she didn't know what to think, but she figured them out pretty quick. Climbing into her new chair and then moving to her bean bag was a fun sight to watch. Back and forth, back and forth, and back and forth...She definitely wore out the carpet between the two chairs. Then she of course had to try out all the different ways to sit in her new chair: backwards, forwards, sideways, upside down, standing...and my favorite, the "plop" onto the beanbag. Too much fun!
